Dr. David Robertson has been a resident of Southern California his entire life. He graduated from UCLA in 1984 with a degree in mathematics and subsequently worked for UCLA’s computing department.
While at UCLA Dr. Robertson became an avid horse riding enthusiast and trained as a classical dressage rider. He also became involved with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department both as a reserve patrol deputy and later as a member of the LASD Mounted Enforcement Detail where he worked as a mounted reserve deputy. This experience greatly enhanced his knowledge about training horses and riders.
In 2004 Dr. Robertson decided to further his equine knowledge by attending Western University of Health Sciences and graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. During his veterinary education, he worked in both small animal and equine veterinary clinics. After graduating, Dr. Robertson worked in Arizona with a board certified equine reproduction specialist before moving back to Southern California where he founded Select Equine Veterinary Services, caring primarily for horses but also providing veterinary services to small animals.
After a number of years working together as mobile equine vets, Dr. Robertson and Dr. Rouche started Affordable Veterinary Clinic to provide economical veterinary services for small animal clients. Dr. Roueche and Dr. Robertson have the knowledge and experience to work on a variety of animals: dogs, cats, goats, pigs, geese, rabbits, rats, etc…
